This practical resource allows students to investigate semiconductor diodes and transistors through a range of practical activities.

Practical activities based around the Diodes and Transistors Card (320-21) are available within the digital curriculum materials provided with our Electronics Study Trainer.

Practical tasks include the following :
  • Voltage Stabilization using a zener diode
  • PNP transistor switch
  • NPN transistor as a voltage amplifier
  • FET operation
  • Testing and fault-finding diode and transistor circuits
