The Rocks Kit is contained in a labeled storage box to allow for easy identification and selection during classroom activities. An inventory system provides simple resource management to enable replenishment of any consumable items.

The Rocks Kit (500-10) contains a range of rock samples for investigations into the types, formation, and origin of rocks. The kit allows for group investigation, when students take turns to select a rock to analyze.

There are 16 rock types to study, including:

  • Basalt
  • Chalk
  • Limestone

Please note: Some activities require access to a handheld microscope – this item is available in the Apparatus Kit (500-01)
